My First Couple of Maude Sketches

So… I was going to wait until the third sketch of the season to post my first Maude sketches on here, but unfortunately, the latest show was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Obviously, this really sucks - but it sucks even more for the people who work at UCB. They put so much effort into supporting the UCB community and making our silly comedy amazing through classes, shows, jams, and general support. The amount of love, hard work, blood, sweat, and tears that are poured into this organization by the staff is mind-blowing.

This week, there were mass layoffs at the UCB Theater and Training Center, which is heartbreaking. Like many people over the last few weeks, they are in a really difficult place. If you have any money spare in this difficult time, consider donating to the UCB NY Staff Fundraiser which goes straight to all the staff who lost their jobs recently.

Onto the sketches. The first few shows have been so much fun. We’ve had a blast, and the third show was shaping up to be an absolute banger. It involves live dogs, voodoo dolls, coma slaps, seasonal potatoes, even batman - so stay tuned because we are definitely doing it when this virus finally goes away.
